Every artist has a story.

Most of them involve bad childhoods. It's where they draw their inspiration, it's their motivation to create something beautiful, and it's an escape. But for me, childhood was idyllic. My parents, family, friends, hometown, school... everything was so damn near perfect that it's amazing I ever aspired to be an artist. I say "aspired to be" because I certainly haven't made it there yet.

Hence, the blog. To me, it seems self-indulgent. I also seriously doubt anyone (other than my mom) wants to hear what I have to say. That doubt comes primarily because I'm not sure I actually HAVE anything to say. But I have this inkling that I might like to get a Masters degree in Writing, and if I don't start somewhere...

  1. Good Luck Trish! I just read through the 24th - I like hearing what you have to say - keep it up. i definitely want to look into a cooking class after reading about yours - it sounds like a blast and a great date (Lord knows I owe Deanna some good dates when I get back). Anyway - keep it up, I like your blog, and I hope we can see you sometime soon (I get back this summer)!
