Did I miss something? What's with all the Royal Wedding craze? I know some people that stayed up to watch the 1am airing in California! In the day of EVERYTHING being available online, that takes true commitment. I don't quite get it.
Now, I love weddings just as much as anyone. Probably more. I'm one of those girls that's been planning my wedding practically since birth. (The wedding mania reached a fever-pitch when I worked for a wedding photographer in Savannah, GA. My parents are convinced that was the most expensive job I've ever had. At least... for them.)
But who cares about the Brits? Does the monarchy even mean anything anymore? I have to say though... The one thing I do find pretty awesome? Those HATS. (click that sentence to see more and vote on your favorites!)
I was having trouble sleeping, so gave up & watched the whole thing. For me, it was not so much about the wedding as it was admiration for the Brits & their organizational skills. Precision timing! Everyone was on time, where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be there, doing what they were supposed to be doing. I may be a bit anal retentive, but I thought that was all totally remarkable.
