Must love... both.

To be or not to be, is NOT the question. The question is... cats or dogs? It's as divisive an issue as Elvis v. The Beatles, chocolate v. vanilla, the North v. the South. But for me, the same solution applies to all. Why must I choose? (Mixed tapes, vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup or chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, and Virginia!)

Other than fur, felines and canines don't have much in common. The former have "cattitude" and act as if we're lucky to breathe their same air. Cat lovers will tell you this means we should be proud to be loved by a cat. We have "earned" their love. They CHOOSE to bestow their love on us. The latter are a bit less... discriminating. Personally, I think there is something to be said for both. Sometimes I'm willing to work at a relationship, and other times I just want it to be easy. Too much of either gets old. Just like the key to keeping a romance exciting is changing up your routine, the same can be said for pet choice. As far as I'm concerned, you Must love... BOTH.
