Why I Love the SAV (part 2)

St. Patrick's Day in Savannah, GA is ridiculous and wonderful.

Don't believe me? Check this out.

Known for hosting the 2nd largest St. Patty's parade IN THE WORLD, March 17th in Savannah is truly something you need to see to believe. Since the population for the other 364 days of the year is only 136,000... hosting the 2nd largest anything is impressive. This is a SMALL city. Maybe even "town" is more appropriate.

The downtown historic district is about one mile square. And those little pink spots in the map above? Those are bars. Yeah, there are a few. Better yet? You can walk with your drink! Bars even have plastic cups at all the doors. Talk about revolutionizing the pub crawl!
